At midnight, Bahamian recording artist Duckie (Mr Poetry) released on datpiff a new mix tape compilation.

As always Deep East label mates show up and show out. Features include Lady Millz, Young Starr, Brooklyn West Carter, Parkboy JV, Young Keyz, Clayton Wizzo, So Serious and Shad Fer with a few more that you can check out on the play list shown below.

Music Is Life Tracklist

First track out the gate is ‘Look At Me Now’- featuring Paper and as always the record making chemistry between these two is awesome. The track is nice and the only critique that can come to mind is that the vocals may be too low.

The track ‘I Wanna Roll Up’ is reminiscent of great 90’s rap group Bone Thugs N Harmony with So Serious switching up his flow to take us back to the nostalgic days when rap/hip hop was more of flow and content rather than gimmicks and catchy hooks. Could he be that thuggish, ruggish Bahamian bone? Lol One of our favorites on the album.

The ‘D.E.R’ track….sounds like everyone is on it. The beat is nice and the track shows a lot of diversity in terms of flow, lyrical content even though its centered around one topic.

‘Buzzin’ is another track with a nice beat and nod your head feel. It gets you hype. Definitely a riding out track. This track features So Serious and Paper Boi.

“Deep east nigga you can come get it, eating these rappers….” ‘All About Us’ need we say more?

Lady Millz sounds very much like rapper Amil (Amil Whitehead) with her verse on the “Turnt Up’ track and Duckie delivers on this track.
